Polyurethane self-leveling flooring combines polyurethane coatings with a new solvent-free or water-based, non-polluting ground treatment technology. It meets specific requirements for certain applications, such as comfort in conference or entertainment centers; corrosion and wear resistance in industrial and mining enterprises; high and low temperature resistance in the food industry; and quick deployment in logistics. Therefore, polyurethane self-leveling flooring is particularly suitable for various industrial and mining workshops, parking lots, sports fields, and other venues, offering anti-slip, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, flexible, and easy-to-install features.
One: Crack Treatment at the Grassroots Level
1. Clean debris from expansion joints and alligator cracks, then fill the gaps with intermediate coating mixed with 80-120 mesh quartz sand. The recommended ratio for adding sand is: intermediate coating A component : sand : intermediate curing agent = 4: (1-3): 1, which means: intermediate resin : sand = 5: (1-3).
2. After filling in the gaps and fixing the pits, allow the mixture to harden for 5-6 hours before using tools such as angle grinders to smooth out the elevated sections. Then proceed to the next step.
Two: Prime the bottom coat
1. First, mix Component A electrically until well blended. Then, add Component B at a 2:1 ratio. Stir with an electric mixer for 3-5 minutes until thoroughly combined.
Note 1: Inconsistent mixing can lead to defects such as uneven drying and air bubbles on the ground.
Note 2: Polyurethane components A and B must be mixed strictly according to the product's specified ratio; do not add excess hardener, as it can cause the mixture to not dry, become sticky, and foam.
2. Flat knife application, surface dry in 4-6 hours, proceed with the next process within 24 hours.
Construction in Progress
1. First, mix Component A electrically until well blended, then combine it with Component B in the fixed ratio indicated on the packaging drum. Stir for 3-5 minutes with an electric mixer until uniform.
2. Apply the mixed paint quickly with a trowel. The paint must be applied within 15 minutes of mixing, as increased viscosity will cause difficulties in the application process.
Caution: Mix only the amount of paint needed for a 15-minute application at a time, and work quickly. Do not pour all the hardener into the A component all at once.
After completion of construction, the surface will dry in 5-6 hours and can then be used for the next step of solvent-free coating application. The next coat of solvent-free coating must be applied within 24 hours to achieve better intercoat adhesion.
Four: Polyurethane Self-Leveling Application
1. First, mix Component A electrically until well blended, then combine with Component B in a 4:1 ratio using an electric mixer for 3-5 minutes until uniform. Quickly spread it using a notched trowel.
2. After self-leveling is completed, the surface will dry in 5-6 hours, allowing for the application of the next solvent-free coating. The next coat of solvent-free paint must be applied within 24 hours to achieve better interlayer adhesion.
