The highway network centered around Beijing, represented by GX (a single-digit number), includes routes such as G4, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Highway.
2. Gxx (two digits) indicates that two even numbers represent east-west expressways, such as G72 Quannan Expressway; while two odd numbers denote north-south longitudinal highways: such as G55 Er-Guang Expressway.
3. The Ring City Expressway is indicated by a four-digit code, such as g0401 for the Changsha Ring City Expressway, 04 (radial expressway starting from Beijing), and 01 (First Ring Expressway).
