The differences between 100% cotton workwear and cotton-polyester workwear are as follows:

The benefits of cotton workwear include softness and comfort against the skin, and it doesn't generate static electricity (though it's not durable, it doesn't stand up well after washing, and tends to wrinkle easily).

The benefits of cotton-polyester work uniforms are their durability and longevity, as well as their crisp, tailored look. The specific choice ultimately depends on your company's needs.

How to differentiate between 100% cotton work uniforms and cotton-polyester work uniforms:

Visually, polyester-cotton work uniforms are brighter in color compared to all-cotton ones. When it comes to printed fabric, the color contrast between the front and back of all-cotton fabric is more pronounced, while the colors of polyester-cotton fabric are more similar. In terms of texture, all-cotton work uniforms are soft but not smooth, while polyester-cotton fabric feels slippery to the touch. The burn test is a widely adopted and直观 method by industry professionals. All-cotton fabric catches fire quickly, with a yellow flame and a burning smell similar to burning paper. The edges are soft after burning, leaving minimal ash. Polyester-cotton work uniforms shrink and then melt when near the flame, with the edges hardening upon combustion, leaving black, hard ash that can be crumbled.

Features of 100% cotton work uniforms:

The all-cotton work uniforms offer moisture-wicking, moisture-retaining, heat-resistant, alkali-resistant, and hygienic properties. They feel soft and comfortable to the touch. The cotton-polyester work uniforms, a blend of polyester and cotton, are less comfortable than all-cotton. They are not as absorbent as pure cotton and are made from a mix of polyester short fibers and cotton fibers, commonly known as cotton crepe.

The features of the cotton-polyester work uniforms are as follows:

Composition of cotton-polyester workwear: cotton-polyester, also known as cotton crepe, is a textile made from blended yarns consisting of 65%-67% polyester and 33%-35% cotton. Therefore, many people ask what "65-35 cotton" means. The advantages of pure polyester include:

High in strength and elasticity recovery, it is robust and durable, wrinkle-resistant, and shrinkage-free. It has poor moisture absorption but dries quickly after washing, with minimal drop in wet strength, no deformation, and excellent post-wash wearability. The fabric, with good heat resistance among synthetic fibers, possesses thermoplastic properties. However, polyester fabrics have poor resistance to melting, easily forming holes when exposed to soot, sparks, etc. It has good light resistance, outperforming natural fiber fabrics in sun resistance, except for acrylic. Particularly, its sun resistance behind glass is excellent, nearly on par with acrylic. It also exhibits good resistance to various chemicals, with acids and alkalis causing minimal damage, and it is not susceptible to mold or insect damage.

The cotton-polyester work uniforms, blended with 35% cotton, retain the advantages of polyester while mitigating certain drawbacks, such as high chemical content and lack of softness. By combining polyester with cotton, the clothing becomes more comfortable to wear. Pure polyester, being a chemical material, tends to generate static electricity and stick to the body, which is not a pleasant feeling. People generally prefer to buy 80% cotton clothing mixed with other fibers, as such garments are less prone to wrinkles and deformation.
