Hat Washing
Remove any decorative items from the hat first.
2. Pre-soak hats with clean water and a mild detergent before washing.
Gently scrub with a soft brush.
4. The inner sweat band area (the part in contact with the headband) should be washed several times to thoroughly clean sweat and bacteria. Of course, if you're using antimicrobial odor-resistant material, this step can be skipped.
Fold the hat into four sections, gently shake off the moisture; do not use a washing machine to spin dry.
6. Lay the hat flat, stuff it with old towels, and let it air dry in the shade; never hang it to dry.
Special Hat Washing
1. The fur hat can be cleaned by slicing scallions and wiping them over the surface, or by using a cloth dipped in gasoline to stroke the fur, which will achieve a good cleaning effect.
To clean stains on felt hats, use a mixture of ammonia water and equal parts of alcohol. First, dampen a silk cloth with this mixture, then proceed to wipe the hat. Avoid getting the hat too wet, as it may distort.
3. After washing, it is recommended to stuff the hat with crumpled paper and fabric balls before hanging it to dry.
4. Do not wash wool hats as they may shrink. If the hat gets dusty or沾pet fur, use a wide tape to pick up the dirt by wrapping it around your finger. This method can remove surface dust. It's not necessary to wash wool hats every time, as it can actually shorten their lifespan. If a thorough cleaning is absolutely necessary, dry cleaning is the appropriate method.
