I. Reason
Moisture Environment: When double-sided tape gets damp, the adhesive layer on its surface becomes saturated with moisture, significantly reducing its adhesive properties.
In high-temperature environments, the base material of double-sided tape can deform, resulting in the loss of its initial adhesive strength.
Extended Use: Extended use can weaken the adhesive properties of double-sided tape, which may be due to dirt or other impurities mixing into the adhesive layer, causing it to lose its adhesive power.
Solution
Ensure the environment is dry before using double-sided tape. If the tape has become damp, use a hairdryer or place it in a well-ventilated, dry area to remove moisture from the adhesive surface.
2. Low-Temperature Environment: When using double-sided tape in high-temperature conditions, it should be stored in a cool and dry place to prevent the base material from deforming.
3. Adhesive Tape Replacement: When the adhesive of the double-sided tape fails, it cannot be used to rejoin with the same piece. At this point, a new double-sided tape must be replaced.
4. Surface Cleaning: Prior to bonding, ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned. Use a specialized cleaner or alcohol for cleaning during the process. This ensures the adhesive tape's adhesion is enhanced.
