Continuing to drive after fatigue can lead to drowsiness, dizziness, lack of energy in the limbs, inattention, decreased judgment, and even momentary mental confusion or memory loss. This can result in delayed or premature movements, inappropriate stopping or correcting times, and other unsafe factors, increasing the likelihood of road traffic accidents. Therefore, it is strictly prohibited to drive a vehicle after fatigue.
Driver fatigue refers to the physiological and psychological imbalance experienced by drivers after prolonged continuous driving, resulting in a decline in driving skills. Poor sleep quality or insufficient sleep, combined with long periods of driving, can lead to fatigue. Driver fatigue can affect various aspects, including attention, sensation, perception, thinking, judgment, willpower, decision-making, and motor skills.
Fatigue driving is a major cause of many traffic accidents, as long hours behind the wheel can easily lead to frequent accidents due to exhaustion.
When you start to feel drowsy, it's important to pull over immediately and take effective measures to appropriately alleviate eye fatigue. How should you do this?
You may take the following approaches:
Park and stretch outside the driver's door, breathe in fresh air, and stimulate mental alertness.
2. Enjoy a cup of hot tea or coffee, or have something sour or spicy to eat or drink.
Listen to light music or adjust the sound system to a comfortable volume to stimulate mental alertness.
4. Gently tap your head with both hands to unblock meridians and blood vessels, enhance blood circulation, and stimulate metabolism and brain activity.
