Factors Contributing to Inconsistent Sand Density in Automatic Shot Blasting Machines

The principle of the automatic sandblasting machine is: compressed air is used to create high-speed movement within the nozzle, generating a vacuum effect. This draws sand material from the cyclone separator through the sand feed tube into the nozzle, where it is then高速喷射 onto the workpiece surface along with the compressed air stream, achieving the sandblasting intention.

The appearance of the sprayed finish is determined by the sand material, air pressure, and distance, with different abrasive materials yielding different effects. The difference between an automatic sandblasting machine and a manual sandblasting machine lies in the sandblasting efficiency and uniformity. Next, let's discuss the factors that can cause an automatic sandblasting machine to have uneven sanding density.

The automatic sandblasting machine experiences unstable air pressure during operation. When an air compressor is used for multiple nozzles, maintaining stable air pressure is challenging. High air pressure results in more sand being吸入 and ejected, while low pressure leads to the opposite, meaning less sand is吸入 and ejected. A higher sand ejection rate will inevitably make the sand surface appear dense, whereas a lower rate will result in a sparse sand surface.

2. The nozzle distance from the workpiece surface varies significantly. When the nozzle is close to the workpiece surface, the spray pattern is small but dense. Conversely, when the nozzle is farther from the workpiece surface, the same amount of sand is sprayed over a larger area, resulting in a sparser appearance.

3. The sandblasting machine's nozzle walking speed is unstable during sandblasting. When the automatic sandblasting machine's nozzle moves slowly, the same amount of sand is emitted as when it moves fast within a unit of time. However, the sand distribution area is smaller with the slower speed and larger with the faster speed. Due to the same amount of sand being spread over different surface areas, there will inevitably be a phenomenon of uneven density.
