Safety operating procedures for vacuum suction sandblasting machines can be summarized as follows:
Equipment Safety
Pre-Use Inspection
Inspect all components for integrity, paying special attention to the secure connection of the sandblasting gun, nozzle, and air hose, as well as the proper functioning of the exhaust system.
Inspect all connections for looseness, check for any damage on the rubber hoses, and determine if any wearing parts need replacement.
The gas source pressure and volume must meet the technical requirements and should be dry, clean compressed air.
Filter System Maintenance:
The filter cores inside the filter sleeve should be cleaned or blown clean with air in a timely manner, based on the amount of work performed, abrasive material, and dust impurity conditions, to ensure that the negative pressure does not drop and the recovery effect is good.
Equipment Start-Up and Shutdown:
When starting the vacuum pump motor, pay attention to the direction of rotation. It is strictly prohibited to use it in reverse rotation to prevent damage to the vacuum pump and burning of the motor.
At shutdown, make sure to operate in the correct sequence, such as turning off the sandblasting machine first.
Vacuum Recovery Spiral Tube Protection:
Vacuum recovery spiral pipes must not be stepped on to prevent damage.
Personal Protection
Wearing Protective Gear:
When operating an abrasive blasting machine, it is mandatory to wear personal protective equipment, including safety goggles, dust masks, a hard hat, protective gloves, and abrasion-resistant shoes.
Dust Control Measures:
Maintain good indoor ventilation and wear dust masks to prevent inhalation of dust.
III. Operating Details
Add Sand Operation:
Add abrasive material to the top of the sand pot, ensuring the sand level is below the sand filling opening by 60mm to prevent impurities and large particles from entering the sand pot.
Sealing & Connecting:
Check and tighten all sealing points to ensure no gas leakage occurs, and properly connect all hoses.
Power and gas connection
Secure the main gas supply pipe and power supply, and check to ensure they are firmly and correctly attached. The inner diameter of the main gas supply pipe must not be smaller than the gas source connector, i.e., 50mm in size (inner diameter).
Work Location Setup:
Reposition the recycling tube, sandblasting tube, and control grip switches to the work area, and then align the spray gun and recycling brush vertically towards the workpiece being treated.
Post-Maintenance Procedures:
When not in use, disconnect the gas line, power cord, sandblasting tube, and recovery tube, and clean and store them separately. Place the machine in a well-ventilated and dry area.
Urgent Handling and Precautions
Emergency Shutdown:
In any emergency situation, immediately press the stop button to halt the equipment's operation.
Level Gauge Inspection:
If the level gauge light is on, it indicates that the sand storage bin or dust hopper is full, and should be addressed promptly.
Current Inspection:
Regularly inspect the motor and vacuum pump belt operation to ensure current is within normal limits.
Prohibited Items:
Do not expose any part of your body to the sandblast jet stream while operating the sandblasting machine.
Dress code: Prohibit wearing excessively large, long, or loose clothing to prevent garments from being drawn into the sandblasting machine.
Adhering to the above safety operating procedures ensures the safe operation of the vacuum sand blast machine and prolongs the lifespan of the equipment.
