Corrugated steel sandwich panels are widely used in factories, warehouses, and road construction projects due to their high strength, excellent fire and flame retardant properties, ease of installation, and low cost. How are these panels edge-bonded?

How to edge-laminate color steel sandwich panels?

Aluminum alloy can be used for edging, or the leftover parts of color steel can be directly utilized for edging. When dealing with edging, first determine the dimensions of the color steel sandwich panel, such as length, width, and angle; then fabricate the edging material into corresponding accessories; finally, secure the edging material using waterproof rivets.

How to Install Color-Steel Sandwich Panels?

Self-tapping screws can be used to pierce through wall panels, allowing for direct fixation onto the secondary wall structure. Alternatively, through the use of connectors, self-tapping screws can be indirectly connected to the secondary wall structure. The precision for the installation of curtain wall panels is generally specified as follows: the verticality of the facade is 2mm, and the surface flatness is 3mm. Additionally, the seam straightness is 0.5mm, and the installation must adhere to the manufacturer's specifications.

Installation Precautions for Color-steel Sandwich Panels:

Before installation, wall panels and ceiling panels should be checked and verified for their specifications, types, dimensions, performance, and the core material of the sandwich panels to ensure they meet the design requirements. Performance tests (such as fire resistance, non-toxicity, and bending strength) should be conducted on samples if necessary.

2. Wall panels and ceiling panels shall be installed only after the ceiling and stud walls have been inspected and approved, and meet the qualified requirements, at which point construction on the wall and ceiling panels can cease.

Ceiling and wall panels should be installed with high-efficiency air filter inlets, lighting fixtures, temperature and smoke sensors, speakers, and penetration points for doors, windows, and pipes. The openings must be smooth, tight, clean, and dust-free, with gaps sealed with non-combustible materials. The periphery of inspection openings should also be well-sealed.

Ceiling and wall panels should have evenly divided joints, with the gap error of the joints not exceeding 0.5 millimeters. The joints should be sealed evenly with sealant, and the sealing area should be smooth, flat, and slightly below the panel surface.

5. Wall panels should be installed vertically, ceiling panels horizontally, ensuring flat surfaces and proper positioning. Joints between walls and floors, walls and ceilings, walls and walls, and ceilings should have a reasonable structure to ensure sealing and prevent cracking. Rounded corners are recommended at the corners.

6. The verticality of the board installation is not more than 1.5 millimeters, the surface flatness is not more than 1.5 millimeters, and the height difference between the joints of the boards is not more than 1.0 millimeter.

7. After panel installation, protective measures should be taken to prevent collision damage to the panel surface.

The surface of the boards should be flat, smooth, and uniformly colored. The protective film on the board surface should be intact without any damage, and the film should be removed before delivery.
