Question 1: Deep hole drilling with rough surface and chip removal

Cause of Incidence:

Cutting Adhesives

3. Low cutting speed, excessive or uneven feed rate.

4. Inappropriate geometric shape of cutting tools

Solution:

1. Reduce cutting speed to avoid blade chipping, switch to high extreme-pressure cutting fluids, and improve filtration conditions, while increasing the pressure and flow rate of the cutting fluid.

2. Adjust the coaxial alignment between the machine tool spindle and the drill sleeve, and use an appropriate drill sleeve diameter.

3. Utilize appropriate cutting allowances.

Question 2: Breakage of Deep Hole Drill Bit with Internal Chip Fluting

Reason for Occurrence:

Poor chip breaking; chips are not being discharged properly.

2. Excessive, insufficient, or uneven feed rates.

4. Inadequate cutting fluid

Solution:

1. Modify the chip slot size to prevent it from being too long or too shallow, and promptly identify and replace chipping issues. Increase the pressure and flow rate of the cutting fluid, and use workpieces with uniform material organization.

Regularly replace drill bits to prevent wear.

4. Utilize appropriate cutting fluids and improve filtration conditions.
