How to Clean Shell-and-Tube Evaporators? As a critical heat transfer component in industrial chillers, evaporators must be cleaned after a period of use to enhance their professional heat transfer capabilities and ensure the diesel generator's performance parameters remain in good condition. Therefore, many people are not clear on how to clean shell-and-tube evaporators.
The process of cleaning and processing shell and tube evaporators:
1. Preparation of air compressors and water sources.
Remove the short threaded connection on the domestic water pipe of the heat exchanger.
3. Loosen the stainless steel head of the heat exchanger using a梅花 wrench or socket wrench, tighten the base bolts, rotate the stainless steel head 180 degrees to expose the heat transfer tube.
Before the air blockage in the nylon brush completely enters, insert the nylon brush into the heat-conducting tube.
Insert the pneumatic valve into the heat transfer vertical pipe, ensuring the levels are even, thus tightly securing the sealing gasket on the pneumatic valve.
When the nylon brush emerges from the other end of the heat-conducting tube, twist the gate valve on the pneumatic valve open, and the compressed air pushes the nylon brush forward, then close the gate valve.
Push the nylon brush back from the other end of the heat exchanger and scrub three times in a row.
8. The heat exchanger tubes are cleaned with water at a pressure of 0.3 MPa.
Step 9: Replace a heat transfer tube, then repeat the above three steps until all heat transfer tubes are cleaned.
10. Inspect the color of the heat exchanger tubes; if copper is visible, they pass the cleaning inspection.
11. Rotate the sealing head, inspect if the sealing gasket is even, and tighten the heat exchanger's sealing head using a梅花 wrench or socket wrench. The tightening distance should comply with the operation manual or maintenance guidelines.
Connect short link nipples to the domestic water pipe of the heat exchanger.
13. Site Cleanup.
