What are the main components of an evaporator?

When it comes to evaporators, many people often confuse the evaporators we refer to with those used in vehicles or central air conditioning systems. In fact, the basic principles are similar, but the applications of the machines and equipment are vastly different. Below, we, as a shell-and-tube evaporator manufacturer, introduce them.

The evaporated solution is generally a solution, and the entire evaporation process involves Yonghui Supermarket acting as a heating agent to produce steam. The equipment actually used for the evaporation operation is called an evaporator.

Throughout the wastewater treatment process, evaporators commonly used are based on the fundamental principle of evaporation to extract the mass concentration of substances from wastewater. By means of evaporation crystallization, saline solution is separated, yielding solid equipment and a recyclable water source, thereby further conserving energy.

What are the main components of the evaporator?

The evaporator is primarily composed of a preheater, steam heat exchanger, gas-liquid separator, automatic control system, cleaning system software, ultra-filtration device, etc. The evaporator is mainly made up of a heating chamber and a stripping chamber.

1. Preheater: The function of a preheater is to use steam as the heat source to heat the water solution that needs to be extracted. Generally, preheaters are machines and equipment used to heat untreated raw liquid. The untreated raw liquid has a lower temperature before entering the steam heat exchanger. To better and flexibly utilize the heat in the system software, tube-type heat exchangers or plate-type heat exchangers are often chosen to heat the raw liquid.

2. Steam Heat Exchanger: Based on the characteristics of the original liquid (viscosity, presence of crystals, scaling, etc.), the heated original liquid is pumped into the steam heat exchanger, where it is transferred heat from the steam, leading to rapid vaporization and evaporation.

3. Gas-Liquid Separator: The gas-liquid separator is a device that separates steam and extracted liquid. The function of the separator is to extract the mist foam carried by the secondary steam. Secondary steam is often introduced into the mist, which is caused by the bursting of bubbles at the surface of the solution when the liquid boils. To reduce these fine particles back into the liquid, the separator must have sufficient large outer diameter and relative height to slow down the steam flow speed and provide ample opportunity for them to revert to a liquid state.

For crystalline liquid formulations, integrate the design of the separation equipment with the continuous casting crystallizer, then modify the forced circulation pump for liquid separation. Depending on the type of original liquid, different gas-liquid separators can be selected.

4. Cleaning System Software: After different water solutions have evaporated for a period of time, lateral scaling is likely to occur. Therefore, the system software must incorporate a cleaning design within the evaporator's internal structure.
