The application of PPS revolves around its excellent heat resistance, coupled with its self-lubricating, anti-friction properties, chemical stability, dimensional stability, flame retardancy, and electrical insulation. In the chemical industry, PPS is used for reactors, pipes, valves, chemical pumps, and other equipment for synthesis, conveyance, and storage of materials. In mechanical centers, PPS can be utilized to manufacture impellers, blades, gears, eccentric wheels, bearings, clutches, and wear-resistant parts.
PPS is primarily used in the electronics and electrical field, including the manufacturing of transformer frames, high-frequency coil frames, plugs, sockets, wiring brackets, contactor drum drum sheets, and various precision parts.
Material Performance
1. Excellent electrical insulation (especially high-frequency), white, hard, and brittle; produces a metallic sound when dropped; light transmittance is second only to acrylic glass; good water resistance and chemical stability. It has excellent flame retardancy and is a non-flammable plastic.
Property: Generally rigid with good strength, but brittle, prone to stress cracking, and not resistant to organic solvents like benzene and gasoline; serviceable at temperatures up to 260 degrees Celsius; stable in air or nitrogen at 400 degrees Celsius. Modified by adding glass fiber or other reinforcing materials, it significantly improves impact strength, thermal resistance, and other mechanical properties. Density increases to 1.6-1.9, and shrinkage rate reduces to 0.15-0.25%, making it suitable for manufacturing heat-resistant, insulating, and chemical and optical instrument components.
3. Excellent molding properties, amorphous material, low moisture absorption, but it is best to mold after drying.
4. The fluidity is between ABS and PC. It has quick solidification, minimal shrinkage, and is easy to decompose. Its general application range includes manufacturing PPS pipes, PPS sheets, and other materials, and is widely used in construction and home furnishings.
