What are the determination methods for airtightness testing equipment?

The specifications for airtightness testing equipment are the basis for determining whether a product meets performance standards. Typically, they are based on the product's application, technical requirements, and standards, separated by related processes, and the parameters generated after bubble testing. Different industrial products generally have varying airtightness leakage standards.


The Gas Seal Performance Tester primarily uses purified dry air as the working medium to detect the sealing performance of chambers with a certain volume, and can also be used for other tests in series or parallel configurations. However, it cannot directly test gas-liquid or gas-solid two-phase flow systems, as this may lead to incorrect test results or irreversible damage to the instrument.


How to Determine the Method for Airtightness Testing?


The system offers 7 determination methods, which include Pressure Drop Determination (Pa), Pressure Drop Rate Determination (Pa/S, Pa/Min), Flow Determination (ml/S, ml/Min), Leakage Rate Determination (Pa*ml/S), and Quality Determination (g/year).


Pressure Drop Determination: Only related to detection time, not involved in the calculation of workpiece volume. This method is straightforward. For mature products that have been tested over a long period and have a fixed experience determination value, this method can be adopted.


Pressure Drop Rate Determination: It can eliminate the uncertainty of detection time, and within a certain period, the pressure drop rate is fundamentally linear. Additionally, it does not require consideration of the accuracy of volume parameter settings.


Flow determination method: It refers to the assumption that the leakage volume of a workpiece shows a linear relationship within a certain period of time. At this point, it is necessary to consider the volume parameters. If the volume of the workpiece is not consistent, under the pressure drop determination method, the pressure drop is not the same, and the actual volume leakage rate is higher for the workpiece with a larger volume.


Leakage Determination Method: Combining the advantages of pressure drop rate determination and flow determination, it separates the two, meaning the pressure drop per unit volume over a certain period of time.


Quality Determination: Units of kilograms per year are used, primarily referencing helium detection parameters, and the density coefficient of the medium being tested is incorporated into the calculation.
