Next, let's explore the causes of deformation in sanitized pallets?
The wavy deformation of sterilized pallets is not related to product quality but is associated with installation quality and usage environment. Wavy deformation of sterilized pallets is a typical sign of floor dampness.
The wider the disinfection tray, the greater the warping deformation it experiences when dampened. For instance, under the same conditions, a disinfection tray with a width of 92mm exhibits a warping deformation chord height of 1.0mm, while a disinfection tray with a width of 125mm has a warping deformation chord height of 1.3mm.
The warping of the sanitizing trays is caused by the absorption of moisture. Due to the moisture absorption lag in wood, the moisture content of sanitizing trays with a moisture content about 2% lower than the environmental equilibrium moisture content is not significantly changed and will not result in warping.
The lower the moisture content of the sanitized pallet, the more water it absorbs, leading to greater wavy deformation. When the moisture content of the sanitized pallet is consistent with or similar to the equilibrium moisture content of the environment, the change in moisture content of the sanitized pallet is minimal, making it less prone to wavy deformation.
