The boom gate, also known as a vehicle barrier, is a specialized equipment used for managing the entry and exit of vehicle traffic on roadways. It is now widely used at highway toll gates and parking system management areas to control vehicle flow. Dongguan Boom Gate Manufacturer shares: What are the common faults and repair tips for boom gates?
Gate Lifter's Coil Wiring Loosening
When the ground loop cannot be securely fixed within the nest, the vibration from a car driving over the road surface can deform the loop inside, altering the initial inductance of the ground loop. In this case, the sensor must be reset before it can operate normally. The solution is to pour molten asphalt into it to secure the loop.
2. The adjustable screw of the gate hinge is loose.
Live Joint Screws connect positive and negative threads, and the upper and lower bearings are connected by a double-threaded bolt. If the screw becomes loose, it will cause both upper and lower positions to be inaccurate. Simply insert a 80MM long iron rod between the double-threaded bolt and rotate it to adjust the闸杆 to the correct upper and lower positions.
Door gate's pivot arm screw is loose.
If this screw is loose, it will cause the barrier arm of the gate to be inaccurate in its up and down positions and to sway significantly when stopping. Simply tighten the bolt and lock the nut.
4. Magnet Positioning Achieved:
The upper and lower positions both utilize CemSense Hall elements. If the rectangular magnet's position relative to the round disc with a cam on the deceleration machine changes, it results in inaccurate positioning. Adjusting it to be precise and ensuring it cannot be flipped will resolve the issue.
5. Power-off Protection Switch Disconnection
When the control part of the barrier gate fails, the automatic protection device of the barrier gate will activate automatically. At this point, the gate arm remains stationary in a slanted position, the main power is disconnected, and the machine does not operate. To restore the machine, open the machine door and rotate the large belt clockwise 3-8 times to the upper position. If this does not restore the machine multiple times, check if the Hall element and circuit board are malfunctioning.
6. Loose adjustment nut of the down pull hook
The lower section of the cabinet features a M10 threaded pull-down hook, which serves to secure the spring of the balancing mechanism and to adjust the zero point of the balancing function. It is equipped with two M10 hex nuts and Ф10 spring washers. If these nuts become loose, the machine will produce a knocking sound and lose balance during operation. After the imbalance occurs, although the machine can still run, it significantly increases the load on the reducer, motor, and other transmitting components, thereby affecting the reliability of the barrier gate operation and reducing the mechanical lifespan.
