For packaging tapes available in the market, the price of machine tape is generally about 1,000 yuan per ton higher than that of hand tape. This is not solely due to the raw material costs; more importantly, the production process for machine tape is more expensive than that for hand tape. Additionally, since the production process for machine tape is more complex, there are fewer domestic manufacturers capable of producing it.

Due to the higher market price of machine-use tape compared to hand-use tape, there are many merchants who add cores to hand-use tape to sell it as machine-use tape.
