Polymethyl methacrylate thermoplastic crystalline polymer. Known as "super steel" or "steel-like". The melting temperature of homopolymer POM is around 180°C. POM is a tough and elastic material, retaining excellent creep resistance, geometric stability, and impact resistance even at low temperatures. POM comes in both homopolymer and copolymer forms. The high crystallinity of POM results in a significant shrinkage rate, up to 2%~3.5%, which varies for different reinforced materials.POM boasts high strength and light weight, often used as a substitute for copper, zinc, tin, lead, and other non-ferrous metals. It is widely employed in industrial machinery, automotive, electronic appliances, daily necessities, pipes and accessories, precision instruments, and building materials.
