Transplant

Transplanting is best in early spring (February to March) or in autumn. The root ball must be kept intact, and it should not be planted too deeply. If fertilizing at the time of planting, do so at the bottom of the hole to promote growth.

Large seedlings of Ligustrum lucidum are typically cultivated into hedgerow shrubs, spherical shapes, and natural forms. As hedgerows, they can be pruned heavily to encourage the base to sprout more branches, resulting in full and lush shrubs.
