In accordance with the AQ3009-2007 standard, explosion-proof electrical equipment in use must be inspected at least every 3 years to ensure their safety performance. Shenzhen Zhongnuo Testing Technology Co., Ltd., drawing from its past experience with on-site explosion-proof inspections, has summarized several common issues encountered during field inspections.
(1) Missing Fasteners

(2) Rust on Fasteners

(3) Wall-penetrating without isolation sealant

(4) Flexible tube installation with a bending radius less than 5 times the outer diameter of the tube

(5) Redundant intake not sealed or using plastic sealing parts

(6) Ground wire diameter is less than 4mm

(7) The equipment's metal housing is not grounded.

In addition, there are issues such as drilling holes in explosion-proof casings, multi-wiring through a single hole, insufficient thread engagement on the screw fasteners with less than 5 turns, and steel pipe connections without transition clamping elements, etc.
Regular explosion-proof inspections can promptly identify existing issues on-site and facilitate timely rectification, ensuring the safety of explosion-proof environments.
