详细Info

A complete explosion-proof safety sign typically follows the following structure:Shenzhen Zhongnuo Inspection Technology Co., Ltd.Detailed Explanation for You:

Ex ia/ib/ic [Intrinsically Safe Explosion Proof Rating] IIC/IIB/IIA T1~T6 [Equipment Protection Class]

Explosion-Proof Label

This is an internationally recognized explosion-proof symbol, indicating that this equipment is an explosion-proof electrical device.

2. Explosion-proof Type (Ex ia/ib/ic)

ia, ib, ic: These are the explosion-proof protection levels for security equipment, indicating the level of safety of the device.

ia Rating: Highest safety level. Under normal operation, +2 counting faults, and the most adverse conditions, non-technical faults cannot ignite explosive gases. Suitable for Zones 0, 1, and 2.

IB Grade:zuiHigh safety level. Cannot ignite explosive gases under normal operation + 1 counting fault + most adverse conditions of non-technical failure. Suitable for Zones 1 and 2.

IC rating: Cannot ignite explosive gases under normal operating conditions. Only suitable for Zone 2.

3. Explosion Hazardous Gas Environment Categories (Gas Group)

Indicates the type of explosive gas environment the equipment is suitable for, categorized based on the minimum ignition current (MIC) of the gas.

IIC: The most representative gases are (H₂) and (C₂H₂). This is the highest category of requirement, indicating that the equipment has the highest explosion-proof capability. IIC class equipment can be safely used in IIB and IIA environments.

IIB: The representative gas is ethylene (C₂H₄). IIB-class equipment can be safely used in IIA environments.

IIA: The representative gas is (C₃H₈). This is the lowest required category.

Simple note: IIC > IIB > IIA. The suffix numbers and letters (C) indicate a stronger explosion-proof capability and a wider range of applicable gases, the further they go.

4. Temperature Class

The surface or internal component of the equipment will not exceed this value under normal operating conditions.

T1 ≤ 450°C

T2 ≤ 300°C

T3 ≤ 200°C

T4 ≤ 135°C

T5 ≤ 100°C

T6 ≤ 85°C

5. Equipment Protection Level (EPL - Equipment Protection Level)

This classification is based on the probability of the equipment becoming a fire source, directly corresponding to the hazardous area.

Ga (High Protection Level): Equipment can be used in Zones 0, 1, and 2. The intrinsic safety ia rating typically corresponds to Ga.

Gb (High Protection Level): Equipment is suitable for Zones 1 and 2. Intrinsically safe ib rating usually corresponds to Gb.

Gc (General Protection): The equipment is only suitable for Zone 2. Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) IC level typically corresponds to Gc.

Note: Ga/Gb/Gc are newer methods of representation, gaining popularity gradually, and they more directly associate equipment with hazardous areas.
