The new national standard GB/T3836-2021 series explosion-proof standards went into effect officially on May 1, 2022.
As of May 1, 2022, the CCC certification for explosion-proof products will only implement certification under the new standard and issue new standard certification certificates.
Here's a reminder: Several major domestic certification bodies have issued revision requirements for the mandatory explosion-proof electrical equipment certification based on the new version of the standard. Enterprises that have already obtained the mandatory explosion-proof electrical equipment certification (i.e., the explosion-proof CCC certification) should pay close attention to the following time points:
For projects that have not completed the certification decision, the company should submit a standard revision application to the certifying body.
For products that have obtained mandatory certification under the old version of standards, the holders of the old version certification certificates should submit an application for conversion to the new version of certification certificates to the issuing authority before the next annual supervision is completed after the implementation of the new standards. They should also accept testing on the difference between the new and old versions of standards as implemented by the laboratory according to the resolutions of TC28, complete the product confirmation under the new standards, and issue the new version of certification certificates.
The conversion of the old version standard certification certificates should be completed by April 30, 2023. Certificates that have not been converted by this date will be suspended by the issuing authority; if the conversion work is not completed by July 31, 2023, the issuing authority will revoke the old version standard certification certificates. There is no need for certificate conversion for products that were manufactured, launched into the market, and are no longer produced before May 1, 2022.
