The explosion-proof product certification process varies depending on the type of certification. Currently, explosion-proof certifications in China mainly include the explosion-proof 3C certification and the explosion-proof compliance certificate certification.
Explosion-proof 3C certification pertains to explosion-proof electrical equipment included in the national mandatory product certification list, employing a "product testing + factory audit" model, which requires both type testing of the product and on-site factory audit. On the other hand, explosion-proof qualification certification is for products not listed in the explosion-proof 3C directory; it only necessitates product testing, and upon passing, an explosion-proof qualification certificate is issued.
Here is the basic procedure for obtaining the explosion-proof certification:
Pre-Consultation: Contact Shenzhen ZN Testing, and we will provide a certification plan, and sign a contract.
Provide Documents: Please supply certification documents for evaluation, and we will propose targeted improvement plans.
Laboratory Testing:防爆 testing conducted in the lab, including structural inspections, temperature tests, thermal shock tests, thermal and cold resistance tests, impact resistance tests, IP tests, shell pressure resistance tests, internal ignition non-propagation tests, and thermal tests.
Issue Report: A test report will be issued upon passing the test.
Issuance Certificate: Upon test results, issue a防爆合格证 certificate.
When obtaining explosion-proof certification, the following points should be noted:
Flameproof Mark: Please confirm the flameproof mark on the product, or provide information on the product's usage site and installation method, so we can initially assess the flameproof mark.
Product Modification: If the product is still in the design phase or requires modification based on the existing standard product, we offer explosion-proof structure design, technical guidance, and assistance with certification documentation preparation.
Samples and Drawings: Provide complete samples and drawing materials for our product modification and testing.
Certifying Authority: There are several institutions in China that can issue explosion-proof certification. We will select an appropriate certifying authority based on the actual situation.
