HDPE polyethylene pipes offer advantages over traditional piping materials, such as resistance to aging, good impact resistance at low temperatures, and corrosion resistance, resulting in a longer service life. During construction, it is also necessary to adhere to relevant requirements to ensure the quality of the work.
HDPE polyethylene pipe materials typically use sand and gravel bedding foundations. For general soil types, a coarse sand foundation with a thickness of 0.1m can be laid on the base; for soft soil foundations where the trench bottom is below the groundwater level, a sand and gravel foundation with a thickness of not less than 0.2m is recommended. It is advisable to lay it in two layers, with the lower layer consisting of碎石 with particle sizes of 5-40mm, and the upper layer covered with coarse sand, with a thickness of not less than 0.05m. Alternatively, the pipe foundation should be laid according to the design specifications, and the foundation thickness must not be less than the specified requirements. The compactness of each part of the foundation should meet the requirements of relevant regulations.
b. The angle 2α for pipeline foundation support should be determined based on the geological conditions of the foundation, the burial depth of the pipeline, the groundwater level, etc., and can be designed according to relevant standards.
c. The groove at the socket connection of the pipeline should be excavated as the pipeline is laid. The length, width, and depth of the groove can be determined according to the socket size of the pipeline. After the joint is completed, immediately backfill it with sand to ensure a tight fit.
HDPE polyethylene pipe construction foundations should be determined based on geological conditions. For areas with loose soil or uneven settlement, reinforcement measures should be taken for the pipeline foundation or subgrade.
During the process of laying e.HDPE polyethylene pipe, it is strictly prohibited to roll the pipe from top to bottom. Prevent heavy objects such as large stones from impacting the pipe body.
f. After the pipeline connections are in place, the design elevation and design centerline should be re-measured. The pipeline position deviation should be controlled within the allowable tolerance as specified by the design.
While HDPE polyethylene piping boasts excellent performance, it requires high-quality installation to enhance its later usage effectiveness.
