During interior wall corrosion prevention work, the chimney should not be overly humid. Therefore, chimney construction is required on sunny days, and it is prohibited on rainy or foggy days. When applying high-altitude corrosion-resistant coatings, it is necessary to ensure even application. Upper coatings can only be applied after the lower coatings have dried, which means chimney construction with upper coatings should only be carried out 24 hours after the lower coatings have been applied. Before spraying the chimney paint, remove debris and dust from the base, and fill in any uneven areas with putty to ensure a smooth, clean, and dry surface for spraying.

Furnace inner wall corrosion prevention is inevitable, with its micro-corrosion determined by the physical and mechanical properties of the furnace itself. However, the extent of its harm can be controlled, and the standard is determined by the usage conditions. Regulations across the world vary but are generally similar. For instance, in accordance with structural durability requirements, load-bearing capacity requirements, and normal usage conditions, the strict allowance for corrosion width is 0.1mm. In recent years, many countries, based on extensive testing and experience with pumping concrete chimneys, have widened the corrosion width to 0.2mm. When the structure is in normal conditions, the protective layer thickness meets design requirements, and there is no corrosive medium, the corrosion width for reinforced concrete can be extended to 0.4mm; for humidity and soil, it can be 0.3mm; for seawater and alternating wet and dry conditions, it can be 0.15mm. The corrosion along the reinforcing bars is highly harmful and must be addressed.

Exterior anti-corrosion coatings should be accompanied by a product certificate and pass a re-inspection. Construction conditions at the smokestack exterior anti-corrosion site should meet painting requirements. During the painting process, the film thickness should be regularly checked, and no chipping, peeling, or bubbling should be present. The external insulated smokestacks come in colors such as red and white or blue and white. The material is exterior latex paint, determined by Party A. Before spraying, the smokestack walls must be cleared of loose dust, and the exterior must be repaired smooth with a scraper or sanding tool to achieve a smooth and attractive surface. After cleaning away dirt, the original color rings and rust spots on the exterior walls are sanded clean with a wire brush, and rust spots are removed with a spatula; thereafter, the exterior latex paint for high-altitude marking is manually applied using rollers. The height of each color ring is determined based on the height and diameter of the smokestack. The water wash operation is a critical step in the boiler smokestack foundation anti-corrosion construction, directly affecting the quality and lifespan of the furnace lining. On-site and actual conditions dictate the use of high-pressure water mist cleaning to prevent damage to the original smokestack lining and refractory brick joints. From the actual situation of smokestack exterior anti-corrosion, the water volume used per square meter is approximately 15-20 kilograms.
