The "Tianjin Municipal Regulations on Waste Classification" has recently gone into effect, with all districts in the city actively adopting various methods to guide citizens in forming the habit of waste classification and practicing a green and healthy lifestyle. Beichen District, for instance, has established 12 high-quality demonstration communities and 102 general demonstration communities throughout the district. In the general demonstration communities, four-category trash bins and promotional boards have been placed, and staff are scheduled to regularly conduct waste classification promotion activities within the communities. Moreover, Beichen District has also added waste classification pavilions and intelligent recycling equipment for the high-quality demonstration communities. Residents earn points for correctly disposing of waste, which can be used to exchange for daily necessities.
