Steel grating panels are made by crossing flat steel bars at specific intervals with crossbars, welded into a steel product with square openings in the middle. They are primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and step boards for steel ladders. The crossbars are typically made of twisted square steel.

Grating panels are typically made of low-carbon steel Q235, with a hot-dipped galvanized finish for oxidation prevention. Stainless steel can also be used. Grating panels offer ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, anti-slip, and explosion-proof properties.

Manufacturing methods of grill plates: two types, machine pressure welding and handcrafted. Machine pressure welding utilizes a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbars across evenly spaced flat steel strips. The strong welding power and hydraulic pressure then weld the crossbars into the flat steel, resulting in high-quality grill plates with solid weld points, stability, and strength. Handcrafted grill plates are first punched with holes in the flat steel, followed by inserting the crossbars and spot welding them into place. There will be gaps between the crossbars and the flat steel, and it's impossible to weld every contact point, thus the welding is not as secure.
