The selection and design of the central air conditioning system in the factory is not a mere equipment procurement; it is a critical infrastructure decision that directly impacts production stability, product quality, energy costs, and employee comfort.

How to ChooseFactoryCore Air Conditioning System

The selection of air conditioning systems in factory buildings is primarily about matching the scale of the building, its load characteristics, and usage requirements. Here is an in-depth analysis of three mainstream systems:

Water-Cooled Chiller System

This is a large-scale factory facility (usually exceeding)A 10,000-square-meter selection solution. It consists of water-cooled main units (such as screw compressors, centrifugal compressors), cooling towers, pumps, and terminal equipment.

Advantages: The major advantage is its extremely high energy efficiency, especially under full load, far surpassing other systems. The main unit operates stably with a long service life, making it very cost-effective when considering the total lifecycle costs.

Note: This system requires a dedicated机房 for housing the main unit and pumps, and an outdoor cooling tower installation, resulting in a high initial investment and complex system design. It is suitable for large workshops with concentrated cold load and long operational hours throughout the year.

2. Air-cooled Modular Chiller Unit System

This is a highly flexible solution for small to medium-sized factory buildings. It integrates both cooling and heating functions into modular outdoor units, connected to indoor fan coils via water pipes.

Advantages: Characterized by a relatively low initial investment and easy installation, it does not require cooling towers or dedicated machine rooms, has low site requirements, and its modular design facilitates phased additions for future capacity expansion.

Note: Its energy efficiency is typically lower than that of water-cooled systems, and the outdoor unit itself requires a larger installation platform. In extremely cold regions during winter, its heating capacity will degrade.

3. Multi-Link (VRF) System

The system consists of one or more outdoor units connected to various types of indoor units via refrigerant pipes.

Advantages: Unmatched flexibility and independent control capabilities. Each indoor unit in each zone can be independently switched on and adjusted for temperature, making it particularly suitable for mixed buildings of offices, R&D areas, and workshops that require time and zone-based management.

Please note: Initial investment is high, and there are strict limitations on the length of the refrigerant pipes and the difference in elevation between the indoor and outdoor units. The installation process requires extremely high standards. The total cooling capacity has an upper limit and is not suitable for large, open single workshops.

For multifunctional factory buildings, a composite system can be adopted. For the stringent humidity and temperature requirements in the main production area, an efficient water-cooling system is employed; while the office and laboratory zones, which demand high flexibility, utilize multi-split systems. This achieves a balanced overall energy efficiency and management convenience.

High-rise factory air conditioning ventilation plan

If the factory's ceiling height exceeds8 meters, traditional ventilation methods result in energy waste in the roof space while providing poor effects in the ground work area. A targeted solution is necessary:

Core objective is to achieve"Accurate Air Distribution" delivers processed air efficiently to the workers' work areas. This requires the use of specialized high-ceiling air conditioning units, paired with jet nozzles (such as spherical diffusers).

Jet Technology:This kind of upsurge...The "air cannon" propels air at high speed over long distances (up to over 30 meters), while also inducing the surrounding air to mix, achieving even air distribution at a distance and effectively reducing vertical temperature differences.

Supplementary Solution:In densely populated fixed workstations, large industrial ceiling fans can be installed. By promoting a slow airflow throughout the space, they can lower the perceived temperature of the personnel without increasing the cooling capacity.2-3°C, significant energy-saving effect.
