Generally, the auxiliary materials required for the installation of central air conditioning systems include refrigerant pipes, refrigerant pipe insulation, branch pipes, power cables, communication cables, conduits for power and communication cables.PVC condensate drainage pipes, hangers, clamp assemblies, outdoor unit vibration pads, air outlets, and other auxiliary materials may be small, but the quality of each component affects the performance of the central air conditioning. Not understanding these can lead to significant losses.
Chilled Media Tube
The condenser tube is a conduit for the circulating refrigerant in air conditioning systems, serving as a bridge for heat exchange. The wall thickness and pressure resistance of the refrigerant tube must meet technical requirements. The refrigerant tube should be free from defects such as sand holes, oxidation, and cracks.
Installation Requirements: Cold medium piping should be equipped with suitable suspension brackets based on the pipe diameter, and insulated with insulating cotton that meets the requirements.
2. Refrigerant tube thermal insulation material
Mounted on the exterior of the refrigerant piping, it prevents the loss of heat and cold from the refrigerant piping and the generation of condensation water during refrigeration operation.
High qualityB1 grade plates and pipes are printed with white characters, typically in English by the manufacturer, and the text is not easily removable.
Good qualityB1-rated rubber and plastic products are rich in flame-retardant and smoke-reduction materials, producing minimal smoke concentration during combustion, and do not melt or drop fireballs, exhibiting natural extinguishing characteristics.
Insulation thickness requirements:For copper tubes with an outer diameter d ≤ Φ12.7mm, the insulating layer thickness δ must be 15mm or more.
b. For copper tubes with an outer diameter d ≥ Φ15.9mm, the insulation thickness δ should be 20mm or more.
For copper tubes with an outer diameter (d) of 41.3mm or greater, the insulation thickness (δ) must be 25mm or more.
3. Fixed Tube Clamp
Fixed pipe clips are essential materials for securing piping in basic accessories, their quantities may not be substantial, but they should never be overlooked. This is because the pipes they connect can be quite long, and due to the lack of transparency in accessory pricing, many retailers in the market take advantage of this to make a profit through manipulating the prices of these accessories.
Qualified contractors will install pipelines at regular intervals.A 1.2-meter set includes a fixed package, but if you're unlucky enough to encounter a deceptive contractor who doesn't install to standards, using flowery language to ensure decorative effects and doubling the amount of materials, or artificially inflating individual items, it can end up costing a substantial amount of money.
4. Divergence Tube
The use of refrigerant in the pipeline分流 affects the system's operation and reliability significantly, depending on the installation's horizontal alignment.
Installation Requirements: Must be installed horizontally; there must be a branch pipe before and after.A straight-line distance of 0.5 meters; only by strictly adhering to this requirement can the refrigerant be reasonably distributed between the indoor and outdoor units, ensuring each indoor unit's performance and the outdoor unit's reliability.
5. Power Cord
Internal and external machine power connection cables are selected strictly according to product specifications. The power supply for the internal machine within the same system must be unified to ensure the normal operation of the system.
Qualitative copper-core wire should have a purplish-red color, be shiny, and feel soft. Counterfeit copper-core wire has a purplish-black hue, tends to be yellowish or whitish, contains more impurities, has poor mechanical strength, and lacks flexibility, easily breaking with slight force.
Wiring Requirement: When selecting the correct online diameter, power wiring must be done using wire lugs to ensure a secure connection, and it must be properly grounded.
6. Communication Lines
When installing power or communication cables, to ensure the cables do not get damaged during installation and to prevent communication signals from being interfered with by strong electrical currents, it is essential to run the cables through separate conduits for long-term reliability and durability.
Power and signal cables must not be routed together in the same conduit.Intervals of 300mm or more should be individually routed through pipes; when the wiring comes out of the junction box and connects to the power terminals of the air conditioning equipment, the plastic corrugated pipe should be used for protection, and black electrical tape should be wrapped around the connection between the plastic corrugated pipe and the junction box.
7. PVC Condensate Drain Pipe
Connecting the drainage outlets of each indoor unit to expel condensation water promptly generated during the refrigeration operation of the indoor units; the condensation water drainage pipe must be fitted with a thickness of no less than10mm of thermal insulation to prevent condensation on the pipeline surface.
Installation Requirements: The spacing of the hangers for the condensate pipe must be reasonable and...1 in 100 slope to the pipeline drain outlet.
A good drainage pipe should have clear, complete markings that won't rub off when gently scrubbed. It shouldn't catch fire; instead, the flame should extinguish on its own. The pipe diameter should be regular, with even thickness, and the color shouldn't be too yellow.
Air Duct Materials
The ductwork designed for in-and-out air circulation within the air conditioner features low air resistance and excellent insulation, effectively ensuring the optimal performance of the air conditioning system.
Check the material density according to the manufacturer's density chart to confirm the quality. Inspect the surface smoothness to assess the quality. Tap the composite material to evaluate the quality; the sound should be pleasant, much like selecting tiles.
Installation Requirements: When connecting the air duct to the indoor unit, use canvas flexible joints to reduce vibration and noise; the air duct hangers should be properly arranged to ensure the stability of the air duct installation; the sizes of the air duct and air outlet should be reasonable to guarantee the air conditioning air discharge effect.
9. Hanger and Clamp Components
Used for fixing refrigerant piping and drainage piping, the combination of hangers and clamps is applied. The spacing of the hangers is determined based on the piping material and diameter to ensure stability and prevent sinking of the piping.
Installation Requirements: Reinforcement hangers must be installed at bends and branch pipe locations in the pipeline; select the appropriate spacing for hanger reinforcement based on the pipe diameter. Additionally, a pad should be placed at the clamp location.PVC pipes are used for protection to prevent damage to the thermal insulation, thereby avoiding water leakage.
Outdoor Machine Vibration Dampening Pads
Placed at the bottom of outdoor units, effectively reduces vibration and noise of the external machines, enhancing the comfort of air conditioning use.
The thickness of the shock absorber pad should not be less thanThe shock absorber pads should be 50px thick, uniform, and resistant to deformation and cracking. The compression strength of the pads must be able to bear the weight of the outdoor unit, and the unit placed on the pads should not deform or crack easily.
Installation Requirements: The shock absorbers should be secured together with the outdoor unit's feet, and the foundation must be level during installation. After installation, give the outdoor unit a firm shake to ensure it is securely fastened.
11. Tipping Point
Small details are often overlooked by many consumers, but they have a significant impact on the indoor decoration effect.
There are two common materials for wind vane: one is...ABS and aluminum alloy air outlets. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages.
ABS Breeze: Made from ABS engineering materials, it is not prone to condensation. However, the material has a certain coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction, which may cause a squeaking sound during use. In winter, when temperatures are low, the breeze outlet may also slightly bow. Over time, the breeze outlet may become yellow and difficult to clean.
Aluminum Alloy Grille: The advantage lies in its resistance to deformation and discoloration. However, due to the fast heat transfer rate of aluminum alloy, condensation is prone to occur during summer use, with severe cases leading to water droplets.
