Fiberglass reinforced pultruded profiles are a composite material formed by using unidirectional glass fiber roving as the reinforcing matrix and thermosetting resin as the matrix material. The continuous glass fiber roving imparts the product with exceptional longitudinal strength, while the glass fiber mat provides good transverse strength.

Common thermosetting resin matrices typically include unsaturated polyester resins, vinyl ester resins, epoxy resins, and phenolic resins. These matrices provide excellent corrosion and weather resistance to the products. Different resins enable the products to be suitable for various harsh corrosive environments. Fiberglass pultruded profiles include round tubes, round bars, angle iron, I-beams, channel steel, square tubes, rectangular tubes, heart-shaped tubes, flat strips, cable trays, windows and doors, sports equipment, and other standard profiles, as well as customized non-standard profiles to customer specifications. Fiberglass profiles are widely used in fields such as chemical corrosion protection, wastewater treatment, electrical insulation, energy exploration, transportation, and electronic communication due to their outstanding lightweight high-strength, corrosion-resistant, and insulating properties.

Key features of glass fiber reinforced pultruded profiles: smooth surface, attractive appearance, acid and alkali resistance, lightweight yet high strength, insulating, flame-retardant, anti-aging, non-magnetic, uniform dimensions. Their longitudinal bending strength and impact strength exceed that of ordinary steel, with a service life typically extending over 50 years.

Glass fiber reinforced plastic extruded profiles offer excellent surface properties: Generally, they produce very little corrosion when in contact with chemical media and are also seldom scaling. Therefore, they are commonly used to manufacture fluid pipelines, which have low internal resistance and a low friction coefficient, resulting in significant energy savings. Since composite materials usually do not generate metal ions that can contaminate media as easily as metals do, this is also the reason for their widespread application in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, composites have a high friction (pv) limit, and under water-lubricated conditions, their friction coefficient is very small, approximately 0.01 to 0.03, making them an ideal material for wear-resistant products.
