Reinforced MacMat has more evident application advantages compared to traditional soil stabilization and erosion control structures, specifically in the following aspects:
(1) Simple site requirements: flat surface is sufficient (both flat ground and slopes are acceptable)
(2) Installation is simple; besides挖掘锚固沟并埋设网垫在防护范围边界内,the remaining parts only require anchoring and securing. Compared to stone笼网, no need for filling with stones for stabilization, with simpler terrain requirements, saving labor and materials.
(3) High Strength, Reinforced MacMesh Padding: The reinforced MacMesh padding features a double-stranded hexagonal metal mesh with high strength, typically ranging from 35-50 kN/m. As a result, the reinforced MacMesh not only retains the traditional MacMesh's characteristic of fine mesh and rough surface but also boasts greater inherent strength due to the stone笼 mesh frame.
(4) Enhanced Continuity. In practical application, by using twisted steel wire or metal rings to tie the reinforced Mac垫 edge ends together, the continuity of the protective system can be effectively improved.
(5) Low wastage. The reinforced MacMat has high strength, thereby reducing the likelihood of damage during actual construction. Additionally, its high continuity minimizes the need for overlapping between reinforced MacMats, which is beneficial for reducing material overlap and enhancing construction cost-effectiveness.
(6) The polymer mat with reinforced geotextile is dense and highly effective in sediment retention, preventing erosion of the slope surface by river currents. Additionally, the rough surface of the reinforced geotextile reduces local flow velocity nearby, allowing vegetation roots to tightly intertwine with the mat, enhancing the erosion resistance in areas conducive to vegetation growth.
