Their applications are extensive, holding significant positions and roles in many sectors, including industrial, civilian, military, and various scientific research fields. They are most commonly used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, with pressure vessels used in the petrochemical industry accounting for about 50% of the total number. In the chemical and petrochemical sectors, pressure vessels are primarily used for heat transfer, mass transfer, and reaction processes, as well as for storing and transporting pressurized gases or liquefied gases. They also have widespread applications in other industrial and civilian fields, such as air compressors. Various specialized compressors and auxiliary equipment for refrigeration compressors (coolers, buffers, oil-water separators, gas storage tanks, evaporators, liquid coolants storage tanks, etc.) are also classified as pressure vessels.
