Sand filters are the mainstream filters for hot spring water treatment, an indispensable piece of equipment in the process. The primary function of sand filters is to physically treat hot spring water, filtering out pollutants, floating particles, and gelatinous floc through the filter layer, allowing the filtered water to return for reheating and disinfection, thereby achieving water recycling, ensuring environmental protection, conservation, and safety. The types of sand filters include top-discharge, side-discharge, and horizontal sand filters. Our main business includes hot spring equipment, hot spring water treatment equipment, hot spring therapy equipment, hot spring heating equipment, water play equipment, and the design and construction of projects such as hot spring resort projects, hot spring hotel projects, hot spring resort towns, comprehensive hot spring tourism resorts, hot spring inns, water amusement projects, and themed parks.
Safety Precautions for Operating Sand Cans
The maximum working pressure load for sand tanks is 2.5 kg/cm² (standard sand tanks) or 4.0 kg/cm² (some glass fiber reinforced sand tanks). If the working pressure exceeds 2.5 kg/cm² (standard sand tanks) or 4.0 kg/cm² (some glass fiber reinforced sand tanks) for an extended period, it can cause the tank body, lid, valves, and other pipe fittings to burst, leading to severe accidents. If the circulating system is subject to high pressure, an automatic valve or pressure regulator should be installed within the system for each component to automatically relieve pressure.
2. The sand cylinder operates under high pressure. When any part of the circulating system (such as pipelines, pumps, filters, valves, etc.) is in operation, gas can enter the system to generate pressure. Compression of the gas can lead to severe consequences such as personal injuries and property loss.
3. Water flowing through the filter must not exceed 43°C (for plastic sand tanks, inner linings) or 50°C (for glass fiber sand tanks).
Before changing the valve switch position, ensure the pump operation is stopped.
5. Regularly clean the pump filter and分流 blades to prevent malfunctions in the pump and filtration system.
6. The sand tank should run continuously at a medium filtration rate, such as operating at 50% or 35% of the filtration rate during low swimming loads and at night; when increasing the filtration rate, it should be done gradually.

Daily Maintenance and Care Tips for Sand Cans
During the operation and maintenance of the sand cylinder, the following procedures must be followed:
1. Clean the pressure gauge connection ports and observation windows monthly, and check the functionality of the exhaust valve.
Every three months, check the accuracy of the pressure gauge and flow meter readings and calibrate them accordingly.
3. Each year, the manhole should be opened once to inspect the corrosion of the contact surface between the filter medium and the filter, as well as the quality of the sand layer, and to replenish new filter material to the designed height.
As the normal filtration time increases, the filter cake gradually thickens, and the filtration resistance gradually increases. A direct indication of this is the increase in the pressure gauge reading on the filter. When the pressure reaches 30% above the normal pressure (e.g., if the normal pressure is 1.0 kg/cm², when it reaches 1.3 kg/cm²), it is necessary to clean the filter. Push the handle on the cylinder head controller to reverse flush; the water then flows from the main filter line into the cylinder, through the filter tubes at the bottom, and out. The water rises from the bottom, removing impurities from the sand layer. Afterward, push the controller to the cleaning tube to expel the impurities from the sand cylinder. This process takes approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute. Then, push the handle back to resume normal filtration. (Note: Turn off the pump power before changing the valve or cylinder head control position.)

5. It is recommended to backwash the sand tank under the following conditions:
If the pressure gauge reading on the sand filter is 50 kPa or more above the initial reading after the last backwashing, an immediate backwashing is required.
② Achieved continuous operation for 5 consecutive days.
The hot spring visit plan has been suspended for more than 5 days.
