The flat gate valve is a member of the gate valve family, similar to wedge gate valves; its primary function is to control the opening and closing of pipelines, rather than regulate the flow rate of the medium within the pipeline. The advantages of the flat gate valve include low fluid resistance, ease of operation, shorter structural length, and unrestricted flow direction of the pipeline medium. The flat gate valve is suitable for oil, water, and oil products pipelines with Class 150-900/PN 1.0-16.0 MPa ratings and operating temperatures of -29 to 121°C, used for cutting off or connecting the medium within the pipeline.
The product structure features of flat gate valves:
1. The flat gate valve features an O-ring seal and a floating seat structure with pre-tension, ensuring双向sealing at both the valve's inlet and outlet; plus, the actuation torque of this structure is only that of a standard valve, allowing for easy opening and closing of the valve.
2. The valve seat of the flat gate valve is lined with or surfacing-welded with stainless steel (or cobalt-chromium-wolfram alloy) on the sealing surface, providing dual metal-to-metal and metal-to-metal sealing. The sealing surface also serves to remove debris from the gate plate.
3. Valves with metal-sealed bodies featuring an oil-injection structure, where oil is introduced through an oil-injector and valve seat to the valve sealing surface, achieving zero leakage.
4. Gate valves with flow-through holes ensure a perfect seal whether fully open or closed, protecting the sealing surface from direct media erosion, thereby extending their service life.
5. The flat gate valve features a smooth straight passage when fully open, with a low flow resistance coefficient and no pressure loss, allowing for the passage of ball cleaning pipes.
6. The flat gate valve utilizes a filling structure with self-sealing capabilities, eliminating the need for frequent adjustments. It offers extremely easy opening and closing, along with reliable sealing performance. An auxiliary sealing grease injection structure is provided at the filling box, ensuring reliable sealing and achieving zero leakage. This solves the issue of general valve filling material being prone to external leakage.
