The widespread application of non-metallic transformer enclosures at the current stage is not solely due to their vibrant colors and aesthetically pleasing operability, nor is it merely because of their low cost and excellent corrosion resistance. More importantly, it is due to the long service life of non-metallic transformer enclosures.

Among the numerous users of transformer enclosures we've encountered, 80% have questions like 'How long does the lifespan of non-metal transformer enclosures last? Are they reliable?' as their top priority. The answer is undoubtedly yes. Why is that? It's actually based on real-world evidence.

Within most transformer housing manufacturers, it is not the case that all materials other than metal are referred to as non-metal transformer housings. Instead, the term "non-metal transformer housing" is specifically used for those we commonly see made of cement, ceramic tiles, or rapid-setting cement of cultural stone. It's worth noting that this type of cement transformer housing has been in existence in our country for nearly half a century since its introduction from Europe and other countries in the 1960s and 1970s. To this day, there are still large quantities of non-metal transformer housings in service, with their lifespan remaining unquantifiable.

Next, the construction of the non-metallic transformer casing does not involve directly casting concrete with high sand content. Instead, the inner walls are reinforced with a frame made of circular ribbed steel bars welded around the perimeter. Such a frame not only absorbs the balanced forces generated within the casing but also significantly strengthens the overall structural integrity, enabling it to withstand earthquakes up to eight on the Richter scale and tropical storms. Some products can even reach the standard for residential use. Thus, the longevity of the non-metallic transformer casing's lifespan is self-evident.

It's also important to note that the non-metallic transformer housing itself is not primarily decorated with a metallic surface, but rather features painted and spray-painted graffiti treatments, or decorative finishes like tiles and cultural stones on the wall surface. It's not particularly susceptible to erosion and corrosion, even after prolonged exposure to wind and sun. The surface may simply experience the detachment of porcelain tiles, which is relatively easy to repair. Isn't it obvious that such material doesn't contribute to a short lifespan for the non-metallic transformer housing? Clearly, it does not.

The use of non-metallic transformer enclosures is undoubtedly long-lasting, both in terms of construction materials and techniques. The theoretical lifespan can exceed thirty, even up to thirty-five years!
