Track-type container gantry crane simple description:

A container crane installed on tracks on both sides, known as RMG in English. Mainly used for loading, unloading, handling, and stacking containers at container rail transfer yards and large container storage and transport facilities.

Components: Consisting of the main beam, rigid and flexible gantry legs, running trolley, lifting mechanism, trolley running mechanism, electrical system, and control cabin. Depending on the site, container storage and transportation process, and loading/unloading vehicles (container trucks or railway cars), different structural forms of no cantilever, single cantilever, and double cantilever are determined.

Key features include:

Low acceleration speed, high running speed for small vehicles.

② The speed of the trolley can be determined based on the bridge span and the outward extensions at both ends. When the span and cantilever length are smaller, the speed and productivity requirements for the trolley can be relatively lower. When the span is larger and the cantilever length is also greater, the trolley speed can be correspondingly increased to meet productivity demands.

③ When the span exceeds 40 meters, due to the differing running resistance of the side door legs, the trolley may experience deviation at high speeds. Therefore, a synchronization device is set up to maintain the synchronization of the running mechanisms on both sides through an electrical control system, ensuring stable operation.
