We commonly use polyurethane adhesive in the construction of colored road surfaces. There are some precautions that everyone should be aware of during the construction process, which will be elaborated on below.
After stirring, a mixed material is formed, with a shelf life of 30 minutes. The material must be used up within the shelf life. Due to weather conditions, if the mixed material is too thick, you may add an appropriate amount of 120# solvent oil.
Do not proceed with construction when the base is wet or when atmospheric humidity is high.
3. Polyurethane adhesive requires multiple applications. It is recommended to use the material and allow it to cure before proceeding to the next application. Excessive intervals between applications may result in surface contamination.
During construction activities, open flames should be prohibited and ventilation should be ensured.
5. During the construction process, when the lower layer is basically solidified and has not been demolded, the pouring of the upper layer can be carried out. However, it is crucial to ensure that the mold has good sealing and no leakage.
6. Upon demolding at the lower level, if surface contamination with other colors is detected, it should be immediately cleaned and repaired using the original color cement paste.
When casting at different interface sections, in addition to ensuring the mold does not leak, it must also be tamped densely to guarantee good edges during the mold removal process. If local edges or corners are found to be missing, they should be repaired as soon as possible using cement mortar of the original color.
8. Choose clean and transparent mold release agents; strictly prohibit the use of colored, contaminated, or impure mold release agents. Extend the demolding time appropriately and handle demolding with care.
Ensure proper warning signs and no vehicle access is permitted during construction, as the requirement is for no vehicle traffic at all.
10. Protective material should not be too little or too much; it needs to be proportioned according to a certain ratio.
11. After the construction is completed and the road is open for 24 hours, intermittent road watering maintenance will be conducted over the following period.
When using a vibratory roller to assist with penetration, control the speed of the machine and the number of passes to allow the polyurethane adhesive to slowly渗透 while avoiding splashing of the slurry due to movement.
Before grouting work, all equipment used for mixing, conveying, and contact must be thoroughly cleaned. Measures should also be taken by construction personnel to prevent contamination of the road surface.
