The CPL8100A/B is a current probe capable of measuring both DC and AC currents. It can measure current up to 100A peak (70.7A RMS), with a bandwidth of 600kHz (-3dB) for the CPL8100A and 2MHz (-3dB) for the CPL8100B. It offers two range switches (10A and 100A), allowing you to select the appropriate range based on current size; it features an auto-zero function for ease of use; and includes low voltage alerts for power and battery, with overload alarms. It can be powered by either battery or external power, making measurements more convenient; it has a standard BNC output interface for easy connection to oscilloscopes and other equipment, and can be connected to a multimeter using a BNC to dual banana plug adapter for AC and DC current measurements. It is commonly used for power frequency measurements, motor drives, power supplies, and similar applications.
