Following the rental of a crane, there are several safety precautions to be aware of:
1. The site's surface must be leveled and securely compacted for crane lifting operations. The backfill and soft soil layers must be properly interrupted. If the soil layer is soft, paving the surface is required. Crane equipment should not be left working on steep slopes, and it is also not permitted for the crane to be unevenly elevated on both sides.
2. The hoisting ropes used for securing prefabricated components in crane rentals must be calculated. All lifting equipment should be inspected on schedule, and those responsible for damage should be approved. The securing method should be proper and sturdy to prevent the hoisting rope from failing under tension or detaching from the prefabricated components, causing the lifting equipment to topple due to the lack of weight. Overloading of lifting equipment is prohibited.
3. No hoisting during strong winds; hoisting operations are prohibited in the event of a wind speed of 6 or above.
4. It is imperative for operational staff to use safety belts during high-altitude work interruptions to prevent high-rise falling objects. Safety belts should generally be worn high and used low, with the end hook ring of the safety belt attached to the high altitude while personnel operate at ground level. When using a lever at high elevations, individuals must maintain a stable stance.
5. When working at heights, it is advisable to set up temporary work platforms. Operators should remain focused while passing through scaffolding, avoiding stepping on ledger boards. Operators should not wear soft-soled shoes when working at elevated areas. When installing concrete slabs or roofs with pre-bored holes, cover them immediately with wooden boards.
These are the points to keep in mind when renting car cranes.
