Hydraulic scissor lifts primarily function through the transmission of pressure from hydraulic oil, enabling lifting and lowering capabilities. Their scissor mechanical structure ensures high stability during lifting, featuring a spacious working platform and high load-bearing capacity. This allows for a wider range of elevated work and is suitable for simultaneous operations by multiple personnel. It enhances the efficiency of elevated work while ensuring greater safety. Let's take a look at the safety operation procedures for hydraulic scissor lifts with the editor below.
1. To ensure the safe operation of the lifting platform, the user must conduct regular inspections and assign a designated person for supervision, maintenance, and operation. Operators must adhere to the safety operation manual. The lifting platform must be operated by a designated individual who is proficient in the structural performance and usage of the platform. Only authorized personnel are allowed to operate the platform, and it is strictly prohibited to carry passengers on the lifting platform.
Before operation, all switches and safety devices should be checked for proper functioning, ensure the protective door is closed, and perform several empty load ascents and descents to expel any residual air in the hydraulic cylinder. Observe the mechanical operation to ensure it is normal, and only proceed when there are no issues. When using the platform, the load must not exceed its rated weight.
Operators must regularly perform routine inspections on the platform's mechanical, electrical, pump station components, and safety devices.
4. During operation, no one is permitted to open the protective gate. If the gate is found open, the operator must immediately shut down the machine and ensure the gate is properly closed before resuming use.
In the event of abnormal sounds, unusual ascending or descending, or other dangerous situations, the machine should be immediately shut down or the emergency stop button (red) pressed, and a professional should be called for inspection. The machine is not to be operated until repaired.
5. Items exceeding a certain length are prohibited from being transported on the platform. Handle items with care and avoid throwing them around. Place items centrally on the platform and do not stack them to one side. Operators are strictly forbidden from causing excessive movement on the platform while loading or unloading items.
6. When loading or unloading items on the platform, press the emergency stop button (red) and only after completion of loading or unloading, personnel should evacuate the platform, close the safety gate, and release the emergency stop before resuming operation.
7. When the lift platform is out of service for maintenance or cleaning, the power must be disconnected, and a "Maintenance in Progress or Cleaning in Progress" sign must be placed.
8. During operation, the lift platform must not be arbitrarily changed in direction. It should be changed only after the platform has completely stopped. Power should not be frequently switched on and off, nor should buttons be repeatedly pressed.
