After the chimney lining removal, individuals entering the chimney for the five-bag, seven-oil corrosion prevention site must first familiarize themselves with the surrounding environment, inspect the integrity of all safety equipment, and strictly prohibit blind removal of the chimney lining for five-bag, seven-oil corrosion prevention.
Prior to painting, the metal surface should be free of dust, oil, loose soil, etc., with special attention to intersections and corners. First, apply a coat of red lead primer, and always check the safety and reliability of the ladder steel structure during painting. Before using anti-corrosion coatings, verify the type, name, and compatibility of the thinner with the technical requirements of the coating instructions. The paint should also undergo a second inspection, and only after all specifications are met can it be mixed for application. The coating should be mixed strictly according to the instructions and ratios, ensuring thorough mixing of any sediment at the bottom of the bucket. After 15 to 30 minutes of standing, it should be fully cured before use. The duration of anti-corrosion for the chimney lining, as allowed by the project quantity, should be controlled according to the instructions, with the amount mixed based on the project's needs. When applying the coating, mix continuously and remove any skin or debris before use. After opening the bucket, the coating must be sealed for storage. All coatings must be applied without any omissions, with a smooth and even surface, consistent color, free of pinholes, bubbles, runs, peeling, chalking, and damage. There should be no visible brush marks, patterns, or shadow streaks. Each layer's thickness and the total dry film thickness must meet the technical specifications and requirements of the client.
Do not exceed 24 hours between coats, and avoid applying a second coat before the first has fully dried.
Cautionary Notice:
The amount of thinner used must not exceed 5%.
Do not mix with other paints.
Avoid removing the five-layer seven-oil anti-corrosion lining from the chimney in direct sunlight.
(4) Prohibition of removing the five-bag, seven-oil anti-corrosion lining from chimneys during rain, fog, sandstorm, or snow. The relative humidity should not exceed 80%, and the temperature for removing the lining should be controlled between 5-38°C.
Chimney lining removal and five-cloth, seven-oil anti-corrosion quality inspection:
1. Appearance Inspection: The coating should be smooth and even, with consistent color and free from pinholes, bubbles, and peeling defects. Inspect with a magnifying glass of 5-10 times magnification; those without micropores are deemed qualified.
2. Metal Structure Coating Thickness Inspection: Use a thickness gauge for measurement. The coating thickness must be uniform, and the thickness and number of layers should meet the design requirements. Specific requirements are as follows:
2.1) The thickness of the metal structure is measured using a magnetic thickness gauge. The average of the readings from three adjacent points determines the reading for a single point.
2.2) The dry film thickness of the coating must not be less than or more than the specified value, with an allowable deviation of ±5%.
