Double T Panel Roof Waterproofing Method:
(1) During the installation of double-T plates, they must be mounted according to the pre-set line positions. Check if the bracket positions meet the design requirements, including elevation, strength, and placement. Weld the wind channel beams securely, as they are the main load-bearing components for installing the double-T plates and also the primary components ensuring stability in the horizontal and longitudinal directions of the project. The quality of the wind channel beam installation is crucial for the project's stability. To ensure the masonry's strength, the mortar strength grade at the end of the plates should be raised by one level.
An additional layer of steel wire mesh is added at the board end, with a 300mm wide mesh laid and nailed down on the surface. The wire mesh extends from the bottom of the gutter to the parapet wall, securing it at 300mm above the roof surface on the wooden bricks of the parapet wall. Here, two coats of 1:2 cement mortar are applied to prevent cracking between the board end and the gutter wall. Both inside and outside corners are rounded with a radius of 500mm. Due to the flexible facing layer at the board end and gutter, even if there are cracks and gaps in the base layer, it does not affect the roof waterproofing. Additionally, the mortar facing layer at the gutter and the leveling layer on the roof insulation are installed simultaneously, ensuring the integrity of the roof and effectively preventing cracks and leaks.
