1. Pay attention to aligning the direction of the inner sleeve with the flow direction of the medium for compensators with inner sleeves. The hinge-type compensator's hinge rotation plane should be consistent with the displacement rotation plane.
2. Before installation, the compensator should be checked for its model, specifications, and pipeline configuration to ensure they meet design requirements.
3. During hydrostatic testing, reinforce the secondary fixed pipe supports at the ends of the compensator pipeline to prevent movement or rotation of the pipeline. For compensators and their connecting pipelines used for gas mediums, pay attention to whether temporary supports are needed during the water filling process. The 96-chloride ion content of the water cleaning fluid used for hydrostatic testing should not exceed 25 PPM.
4. Strictly prohibit adjusting pipeline installation deviations by deforming the bellows compensator, as this may affect the normal function of the compensator, reduce its service life, and increase the load on the piping system, equipment, and supporting structures.
During installation, it is strictly prohibited for welding slag to splash onto the surface of the bellows, and it is not allowed for the bellows to sustain any other mechanical damage.
Section 6: Insulating materials in contact with the compensator bellows should be free of chlorine.
All moving components of the compensator must not be jammed or restricted in their range of motion by external parts, ensuring the normal operation of each moving section.
8. Compensators requiring "cold shrink" compensation should have their auxiliary components removed only after the pipeline installation is complete.
After the hydrostatic test, the water in the wave shell should be drained as soon as possible, and the inner surface of the wave shell should be dried quickly.
Upon completion of the piping installation, the yellow auxiliary positioning components and fasteners used for installation and transportation on the stainless steel expansion joint should be removed promptly. Then, adjust the limiting device to the specified position according to design requirements, ensuring that the piping system has sufficient compensating capacity under environmental conditions.
