The general-type corrugated bellows expansion joint for stainless steel is composed of a bellows and structural components, primarily designed to absorb axial displacement without bearing the pressure thrust of the bellows. Due to its simple structure and low manufacturing cost, it is one of the more affordable expansion joints. For pipelines with small diameters and easily set fixed supports, this type should be prioritized. However, it cannot withstand pressure thrust. Therefore, when selecting it, one must accurately calculate the pressure thrust and properly set the fixed supports. For large-diameter pipelines, even though the pressure is low, the pressure thrust is significant, so it is crucial to properly set both fixed and sliding supports.
