What are the methods to reduce the wear on roller granulators? 15565072777 Manager Xu

Just as the粉碎锤片in a hammer mill is a crucial and heavily worn part of the equipment, the roller is also a component in the roller granulator that is prone to wear during granulation. As the roller skin is the primary area for material granulation, it gradually wears down, resulting in uneven granule sizes. However, the wear is inevitable. Zhengzhou Yicheng Machinery, a manufacturer of organic fertilizer granulators, believes that the key is to minimize the wear on the roller granulator.

Squeezing Granulator

Reason for roller skin wear in roller extrusion granulator:

(1) Affected by the hardness, size, and shape of the material being processed. Material that is too hard, large, or irregular can easily lead to uneven wear on the roller skin.

(2) The quality of the roller's material is directly related. Rollers made of inferior materials have poor wear and corrosion resistance, resulting in a shorter lifespan.

(3) Roll surface shape and specifications, as well as operating conditions.

(4) Uneven feeding can easily lead to uneven wear on the roller skin.

Severe roller surface wear can impact the production efficiency of roller granulators and the particle size of the finished material. In severe cases, it may necessitate shutdown and replacement of the roller surface. How can we reduce the wear on the roller surface through various efforts during equipment operation?

Roller Compaction Granulator

During the granulation process, the roller surface of the roller granulator gradually wears down, thus it is essential to ensure that the material is evenly fed along the length of the roller into the granulator. Uneven feeding can lead to annular grooves on the roller surface, affecting the normal operation of the granulator and resulting in uneven particle size of the product. When feeding, the feeder must not only supply the material evenly and continuously but also match the length to that of the roller.

The roller granulator may be equipped with sanding wheels on the frame. When the roller surface develops dents or grooves, the surface can be machined and repaired on the machine without removing it, or repaired directly on the roller surface, which requires the granulator to be fitted with a surfacing device. Some roller granulators are equipped with an automatic reciprocating shaft for the roller, ensuring even wear on the roller surface.

Additionally, roller surface wear can lead to an increase in discharge orifice, necessitating adjustments to the movable roller. When making adjustments, it is crucial to maintain parallelism between the two rollers to prevent misalignment. On granulators with movable rollers mounted on swing arms or with hydraulic compensation devices, the movement of the movable roller will automatically ensure that the axes of the two rollers remain parallel.
