For the present...Thermal Oil Electric HeaterThe use of electric heating, as you all well know, doesn't require an introduction from me. Firstly, electric heating boasts features such as low pressure, high temperature, safety, and energy efficiency, along with comprehensive operation control and safety monitoring systems. It can precisely control the work process, and its explosion-proof grade can reach C-level, which is almost common knowledge in the industry. Secondly, compared to a few years ago, there have been significantly fewer accidents related to electric heating. However, recently, some friends have asked me...Electric HeaterHow to choose paint and what standards to look for when inquiring – the editor is here to share some insights with you.

Thermal Oil Electric HeaterThe selection of coatings should comply with the following principles:

The performance of the paint should be suitable for the usage environment of the coated object.

The choice of paint should be compatible with the operating conditions.

(3) The adhesion properties of the coating should be compatible with the material of the coated surface. Each layer of coating (base coat, intermediate coat, top coat) should be properly matched.

(4) The selected coatings must be safe, reliable, and economically reasonable.

(5) Construction conditions met.

(6) The selection of coatings should comply with the relevant provisions of national environmental protection and safety regulations.

Key Performance Requirements for Paint

The base coating applied to the surface of steel is selected according to the current national standard (GB/T1720 - "Determination of Film Adhesion"), with the base paint having an adhesion level of I; the intermediate and top paints have an adhesion level of at least II.

Corrosion-resistant coatings should be tested in accordance with the relevant requirements of standards GB3186 (Sampling of Paint Products), GB1733 (Determination of Water Resistance of Paint Films), GB1768 (Determination of Abrasion Resistance of Paint Films), and GB/T1720 (Determination of Adhesion of Paint Films).

Suppliers should provide test data for the adhesion, chemical stability, heat resistance, water resistance of the paint film, and aging resistance of the coatings, all of which should be from the National Paint Testing Center.

The design life of the anti-corrosion coating for above-ground pipelines should correspond to the maintenance period of the equipment, and the design life should not be less than 5 years.

Equipment for mechanical installations, static equipment, and complete sets should be externally anti-corrosion painted according to the design specifications. Prior to painting, manufacturers must submit the painting standards and procedures for the buyer's review and approval.

Lead, cadmium, sulfur, and chloride-containing paints or colored markers must not be used on stainless steel equipment and piping.
