The acoustic sounding tube, in addition to serving as a detection channel and replacing part of the steel section, can also be used as a pipeline for grouting at the pile bottom. Tests have proven that piles treated with grouting at the pile bottom can significantly enhance their bearing capacity. Moreover, the acoustic sounding tube can also be used as a pipeline for cleaning and grouting treatment of accident piles, at which point measures must be taken to penetrate the pipeline at the defect areas requiring grouting.
Ultrasonic Transmission Method Testing: The overall requirements for the sound measuring pipe are: reliable joints without detachment, sealed without leakage; smooth pipe walls without bends, even without deformation; vertical pipe body without tilting; and unobstructed interior without foreign objects.
Poor quality of geophonic tube materials or installation processes may lead to accidents such as leakage, pipeline blockage, fracture, bending, sinking, and deformation, significantly affecting the integrity testing of pile foundations using the ultrasonic transmission method, and in some cases, rendering the ultrasonic transmission method undetectable.
