Introduction to the Installation Method of Cam Splitter Input Shaft
2024-06-07
The indexing cam installed in the input shaft is connected to the output turret, with cam rollers radially embedded in the circumference surface of the output turret. These rollers make linear contact with the conical support ribs of the cam on their respective inclined surfaces. Most cam splitters have the input shaft installed on both the T and U faces. In special cases, non-standard production may install the input shaft on one face according to actual needs. What are the advantages of installing the input shaft at both ends of the cam splitter?
1. Easy to install and use, during the early stages of the cam cutter standard component design, the input shafts are all installed in a two-sided manner. In practical applications, one side of the input shaft is used to mount the drive motor for the drive separator, while the other side is for installing the inductive transmission device to synchronize with the rhythm of the entire automated system's movement. Since both ends of the input shaft are part of a single shaft, the control signals are more precise. The photoelectric sensor transmits signals to the automated PLC control system, which calculates and issues control commands. The entire process is relatively quick, but there may still be delays, especially for high-speed automated systems where the input shaft speed reaches 600 to 800 RPM per minute, with over ten rotations per second. Each stage requires optimized design. Some inductive systems can also be installed on the output shaft or disc, which is acceptable for applications with lower precision requirements.
2. The flexible combination or multi-level design allows for separators with input shafts installed on both sides. A single drive motor can accomplish multiple motion transfers, a common sight in automation systems where one motor can execute various transmission actions. In this scenario, the cam separator's input shaft acts as both a drive shaft and a transmission shaft, enabling the transmission of other mechanical actions while driving the separator. This effectively ensures the full utilization of energy. Additionally, the design achieves favorable results in terms of space and cost savings.
3. In the case of cam splitters with both ends featuring input shafts, since both shafts can accommodate drive motors, not only does this ensure normal operation, but it also allows for flexible motor installation for future system maintenance or changes in drive direction.。
