Hot-dip galvanized square tubes are formed by welding steel plates or strips after rolling and shaping, then undergo a series of chemical reactions in a hot-dip galvanizing bath to form the square tubes; they can also be made into hollow square-section steel pipes by cold bending hot-rolled or cold-rolled galvanized steel strips and then high-frequency welding. The production process of the tubes is simple, with high production efficiency, a variety of specifications, and low equipment investment, but the general strength is lower than that of seamless square tubes.
Hot-dip galvanized square tubes, due to their excellent properties, are commonly used in: glass curtain walls, power transmission towers, communication power grids, water and gas transmission, wire conduits, buildings, bridges, metal structures, power transmission, and more. They have been extensively adopted in recent years.
