How to Choose Single-Sided and Double-Sided Plastic Pallets:
1. Single-sided plastic trays are designed for one-sided use, featuring either a grid or flat surface. The bottom can be in the form of a trapezoidal, square, or nine-square pad foot design. They are categorized into three standards based on load capacity and usage: shelving series, standard series, and ultra-light series.
2. The double-sided plastic pallet features a symmetrical structure on both sides, with a grid-like and flat surface available. The two sides can be interchanged for use. It is categorized into two standards: the shelving series and the standard series, based on varying load capacities and usage scenarios.
Choose between single-sided and double-sided pallets based on the corresponding storage, handling, and equipment conditions (such as the type of warehouse, shelf type, stacking or placement status, etc.).
For small footprint automated stacker cranes or high-rack storage, where vertical handling with stackers or electric forklifts is the primary method, both single-sided rack series pallets and double-sided rack series pallets are available for selection.
For loads of 1T or more on racks or shelves without decking, it is recommended to use shelf trays with built-in steel pipes. The steel-plastic structure trays with built-in steel pipes effectively address the long-standing issue of increasing product weight and costs with greater load capacity on the shelves. More importantly, by utilizing the rigidity of square steel pipes with wall thicknesses of about 2mm, the trays meet the strict requirements of less than or equal to 10mm deflection in both horizontal and vertical directions for storage shelves (racks). Additionally, this reduces Yongjiu deformation and lowers costs.
For large areas with horizontal transportation as the main requirement, a single-sided plastic pallet is suitable for manual hydraulic trolley handling. For stacking goods, a double-sided pallet or a single-sided plastic pallet with a cross-bottom design works better when the bottom of the pallet aligns with the top of the goods below. For use with self-propelled trolley trucks, a single-sided plastic pallet with no connecting strips on the bottom, in a nine-leg design, is recommended.
